hold me
At 4:30 AM, he reached for me. Still asleep, I let myself become enveloped in his arms. He was warm and close; he had that familiar smell. Ten minutes later, he pulled me even closer. ‘He’s so sweet,’ I thought, ‘Look at how he needs me.’ A few minutes later, I was back asleep, only to feel myself being pulled in more. ‘Could we get any closer? I wonder if he’s okay. Maybe he had a bad dream about us …’ I fell back asleep maybe twenty minutes later.
This morning as I was leaving, I climbed back into bed as usual, and bit his shoulder. ‘You were so cute last night, the way you were reaching for me.’
‘You were snoring. I was trying to rearrange your position so you would stop.’

Tee hee. That's funny. When Dan snores in the middle of the night I poke him until he wakes up and then tell him he was snoring, only to get an emphatic denial. This works to stop the snoring until I can get back to sleep myself!

I would have yanked her earplugs out and used them myself if I'd been conscious enough...
(Of course, Deb convenient forgets how one time I was "snoring" - I still debate that - and she ever so sweetly murmured "Hold me", just so that I would turn over and stop snoring. Very short memory she has.) :^p

Awe, I'm really bummed that Deflowered is going away. That was a fun page.

Hey, now... I snore, too--quite loudly, in fact. (Or at least that's what my boyfriend tells me.) But I'm also an extremely deep sleeper--I doubt this rearranging thing would work for me (or that I'd even notice...)

Hey Alex, that was a very sweet way for Deb to stop you from snoring! You could've done the same :D

Oh boy! This has got to work better than the "honney? HONEY? STOP SNORING!" route...
