(today’s episode is brought to you by dayquil and bag of snotty tissues)

Deb: Can't sleep clowns will eat me can't sleep clowns will eat me can't sleep clowns will eat me…
Alex: Haha… I'm going to come home a little early.
Deb: You love me! You really love me!
Deb: Is that why?
Alex: Yes.
Deb: Really?
Alex: Yes - I want to make sure you're OK.
Deb: Well, I’m ok, I don't want you to worry about me, but I still urge you to come home because I like it better when you are here.
Alex: OK, then I will.
Deb: And, oh! The dishes! The sink is completely overflowing…

(Why isn't he home yet?! Waaah.)

Might I recommmend Claritin D for the stuffy head, Tylenol for the aches and pains, and single malt scotch for Alex.

Also: pies for the clowns.

Five points to Alex for coming home early. Is there any left-over pie?

Did you know...
I made soup this afternoon. MADE. IT.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A FOOD SNOB GETS SICK.
Then, I wasn't in the mood to eat it.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN CRAZY GETS SICK.
I just wanted water. And, sorta, a cigarette.
SICK. SICK. SICK!
Please, send in the clowns.

Hi Deb...I came across your blog from Alex's blog which I hit on from another blog. I am new to the concept of blogging but I really like it very much. I think you are a very witty and yet a very sensitive writer sorry blogger. I have just started a blog of mine which isn't vey good I am afraid as I cannot dedicate enough time to it. I hope to improve. You take care of your self and get well soon.

When this food snob gets sick, I just want someone to bring me the homemade soup. It would be impossible for me to hoist myself off the couch to make it myself when I'm down with the plague.

I recommend Airborne for the cold -- worked for me last week (hope you didn't catch it because we link to each other!).

Hmm, could it be because of a sink full of dishes?

Feel better

Whenever I get sick, I stop smoking. Sensible, right? And then my throat starts to hurt. "Is it strep or some other nastiness?" I worry...

Then I just have a cigarette and I feel much better.

Feel better, Deb. I love your blog, and spent an otherwise completely crummy Saturday reading your archives.
