I’m under deadline today and there is not even a slight chance I will have time to share sagas with you, so instead I will yammer on about my unparalleled adoration for Backpackit.com, brought to my attention by Ms. Hatter earlier this week. If you’re like me, and your existence is mostly lived in front of a computer monitor while your Filofax planner gathers dust and is never up-to-date or in your vicinity when you need it, and you like to be organized, you really do, but you need help, I can’t say enough about this.
But, I don’t have time to today.
Behold the madness: My wedding planning page.

Hee. The Husband chose our first dance song--"For You" by John Denver. You won't find it on any list, anywhere, but it was a beautiful song, and how can you say no when your intended brings you a song with a chorus that says, "for you, for the rest of my life, for you and I, only for you" and offers it up as "your song." I wanted "Somebody" by Depeche Mode, but, alas, some things just aren't meant to be.

I love those earrings, where are they from?

I gave S those earrings for the holiday season, and she loves them and wears them all the time. Alex, go get em. They're totally worth it.

New Blue Shoe, you rock my face off.
Louise, they're Elsa Peretti, from Tiffanys. Platinum with rock crystal. Probably cost more than my dress. But "reasonable", in only that sick way that looking at a Tiffanys catalogue for hours can make something seem.

Can I try to talk you out of the thank you note book? (unless of course you got a better one than I did) My mom, who apparently thinks I need assistance gave me one of those, and the samples in it are ridiculous--I must share:
#34--Not sure what the gift it
Dear Cousin Paula,
Thank you for the lovely china piece. The hand painted flowers that decorate the edges are the nicest we'ver ever seen. John and I plan to keep it on our coffee table so we can admire it often. We appreciate the time and care you must have put into your selection.
Your cousin,
Connie
bleh. blegghh...must go eat chocolate to get horrible taste out of my mouth.
Best advice I have gotten so far--buy small thank you notes...less space to fill with usless flowery mumbo jumbo
