polvorones
On kind of a whim Friday night, I made polvorones, or Mexican Wedding Cakes, for the next night’s bachelorette party. This was instead of the brownies I’d promised, surprising nobody more than myself as I have never in my life chosen anything over rich, dense baked chocolate (except for maybe cold, bittersweet chocolate, obviously) especially these cookies – something you’d more typically see served by grandma with tea and polite conversation. When still hot from the oven, you roll these subtle pecan butter cookies in powdered sugar with a hint of cinnamon and that, that is the most risqué thing about them. It’s not exactly the kind of snack you’d imagine before accidentally (hm, was it accidental?) landing yourself at a tranny party in the East Village, but, if your grandma is anything like mine was, she’d tell you to hell with anyone who tells you you can’t eat your Wedding Cakes before whatever party you’d damned well please.
Er, yeah.

OOOOh they were so yummy! I mean the cookies, not the trannies. ;)
Whatever, I got my penis-gun and Randy's reaction to it the next morning was priceless.
What are we going to do for yours????????

I'm sorry, but I love these cookies. It's hard to make them just right, but if you do, they're really melt-in-your-mouth. Yum!
