Were you brave enough to actually go on the Cyclone? Next weekend: Staten Island and Queens!

Not at all. The thing is, most roller coasters give you the FEELING of being unsafe and therefore scary; this one actually is: rickety, treacherous, notorious. Thank goodness Alex is in exactly the same boat as me on this, and I was not forced to go on to not be called the woos that I am.

Next weekend is totally about Queens, or the Birthplace of Ninotchka (right?).

Unfortunately I submitted to the 'woos' callings of one of my friends and went on the Cyclone two or three years ago. My neck hurt the rest of the day!

Did you go to the Coney Island Side Show? I did last summer and it was awesome--totally bizarre, but awesome. Love your pics!

No, I haven't! But, I plan to go back very soon to Coney Island. Next I want to walk around there at twilight/sunset. I bet those rides look awesome lit up with the old-school bulbs.

Those are amazing photos! I feel like I entered a New York travel site looking at them! Thanks for sharing.

We have an old wooden rollercoaster here in Vancouver. I haven't been on it in years, but your description of the Cyclone sounds about spot on. Only difference is, I wouldn't be smart enough to say no to the offer!

What a fun weekend!

Our second date. Traveling carnival. Rode EVERYTHING. Even the pukeinators. And as he held my hand in his, and gazed into my eyes in the moonlight mixed with bright carney lights, he puts a finger to his lips, turns green, and says "oh..skuze me.." and turns around and pukes. Projectile-like.

There was no goodnight kiss that night, yet I love him still. Perhaps it is because he puked first, which makes him the wussy. :P
